Develop locally or on staging
Use Local by Flywheel, DDEV, or Lando for local development. Push to staging via SFTP or Git when ready for client review. Staging environment is a full copy of production.
Client review on staging
Share the staging URL with your client. Staging is accessible via a subdomain and can be password-protected via .htaccess for pre-launch confidentiality.
Test updates before pushing live
Plugin updates, theme changes, and configuration changes are tested on staging first. WP-CLI database operations can be run on staging to verify before production.
Push to production
SFTP or use the Enhance CP file manager for file changes. Database migrations via WP-CLI over SSH. For larger deployments, the Enhance CP API supports automated workflows.
Cache management
Purge QUIC.cloud CDN cache after deployment via the LiteSpeed Cache plugin, WP-CLI, or the QUIC.cloud API. Smart purging invalidates only affected pages, not the entire cache.
