Telehouse London Docklands is the site of Europe's first carrier-neutral colocation facility, opened in 1990. It has been the primary home of the London Internet Exchange (LINX) since 1994 — making it one of the most heavily connected locations on the global internet for over 30 years.
The campus sits in London's Docklands, close to Canary Wharf. It comprises four interconnected data centres — Telehouse North, North Two, East, and West — connected to approximately 800 carriers, ISPs, and network service providers.
The campus is the UK's foremost internet hub and has hosted LINX — the London Internet Exchange — since 1994. A large proportion of UK internet traffic passes through this site, providing ultra-low latency for UK visitors to your WordPress site.
Around 800 carriers, ISPs, and ASPs connect into the campus. The proximity to the City of London and Canary Wharf makes this a low-latency environment — ideal for performance-sensitive applications and UK-focused websites.
Telehouse was the first UK data centre to own and operate an on-site private dual primary substation (N+N) connected at 132kV to supplier authority lines. Dual redundant, diverse-route incoming power feeds and N+1 generator redundancy ensure continuous availability.
The Telehouse London campus runs entirely on renewable energy. Your WordPress site and all associated data is hosted in a facility operating with net-zero electricity.
Telehouse London Docklands operates comprehensive physical security across the entire campus.
The Telehouse London data centres hold internationally recognised certifications across security, business continuity, quality, and environmental management.
